Difficult Situation as a Present?

When all seems to be doom and gloom, there are still positive possibilities; you just have to look for them. Too often, we only see the negatives. And we create more stress for ourselves by allowing our focus to be on only the negative aspect of the situation.

Learn to look at every difficult situation as a present; the gift within is the possibilities it holds.

For example, a couple buys a rundown house. They see the house as it could be, not as it is. What they see is the "possibility".

Or, you may lose your job. The "possibility" is you can focus your full energy on changing careers, or finding a job in an area you've always wanted.

If you focus on the possible when you experience difficult situations you can positively change your outlook, reduce your stress, and concentrate on achieving things that otherwise may not have been possible.

To quote Joan Rivers:

“I have become my own version of an optimist. If I can't make it through one door, I'll go through another door - or I'll make a door. Something terrific will come no matter how dark the present.”

Next time you do encounter a difficult situation, stop for a moment and consider the possibilities!
